We understand that work from home gives you that extra hour to sleep. But, sticking to the schedule is also important. Follow your schedule of working just like any other normal day. Schedule team calls and meetings within working hours and complete daily work, just like you do in the office. A strict routine will help you enjoy your time at home while being productive on the job.
Make To-do Lists
No matter how much you hate your to-do lists, deep down, you know, they’re the only saviour. Make a to-do list every day before starting your work. Whether it’s cooking meals or completing a project, put down your to-do list realistically so that you can complete it in time. Avoid making to-do lists for a week at once to bypass procrastinating.
Stick to Deadlines
Our brain tends to work effectively in smaller periods. Even if it’s about making a to-do list, try making it time-based. Sticking to a deadline will help you finish a task in the required time slot with a sense of positivity at the end of it. Remember to pick time wisely, don’t overstress yourself and be realistic with the deadlines.
Add Freshness to Your Work Desk
Work from home has made your study table or any other corner in your house your new work desk. And thus, to add a dose of freshness to it, you can keep work desk plants around. Plants like peace lily, snake plant, spider plant, and sansevieria help you concentrate better, purify the air, and build a soothing aura.
Socialise
Just because you’re working from home doesn’t mean you can’t socialise with your friends like any regular day. Call up, facetime or video call your work buddies to socialise. It is good to boost your mental health by sharing little things and keeping connected to people.
Reward Yourself With Something Delicious
Food, especially sweets are a good mood enhancer and an easy way to relax. Reward yourself with something delicious like chocolate, cake or any other snack at the end of the day or on the break. It will boost your productivity and balance your day on a sweet note.
